Questions Regarding Your Order

How do I know if my order has been confirmed?
Shortly after every order, you will receive email confirmation. Please contact us at customerservice@designerkidswear.ca, if you do not receive an email. If you have an account with us, you will be able to login to view your order status and any comments or emails we have sent you.

How can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you should receive an order tracking number via e-mail. Please contact us at customerservice@designerkidswear.ca, if you do not receive an e-mail with your tracking number.


Questions Regarding Products

How do I know which items are in stock?
All items shown online are in stock unless the words "Not Available" are listed next to the product. In rare circumstances, an item may incorrectly show as "available". If this occurs, you will be notified via e-mail of the unavailability and your payment will not be processed.

Are items in my shopping bag reserved while I continue to browse?
Please be aware that even if the product is in your shopping bag, it is not considered reserved and can be purchased by another customer while you are browsing.

The item I purchased is now on sale. Can I get a price adjustment?
We are unable to offer price adjustments on items originally purchased and subsequently reduced in price.

Is it safe to order from your online store?
Yes. Shopping online at Designer Kids Wear is private and secure. Our web store is verified by Trustwave (trusted commerce validate). All information is protected behind a Secure Socket Layer, which is a form of encryption technology.

What payment methods do you accept?
Designer Kids Wear currently accepts: Visa, MasterCard & American Express.

If my Credit Card is declined what does it mean?
Your Credit Card may have been declined due to the reasons listed below:

  • You entered an incorrect number.
  • The security code (CVV) or date may have been entered incorrectly.
  • The name and address entered fails to match the address the Credit Card company has on file for you.
  • Your Credit Card company has refused the payment for security reasons.
  • The purchase limit has been exceeded.

Please contact your Credit Card provider and they will inform you on why the payment has been declined. At that point, you may contact us and try again.

What does a "billing address" refer to?
A "billing address" is the address that your Credit Card provider sends your monthly statements to. For your own security, this information needs to be consistent. For every purchase, your Credit Card company informs us to verify that the address attached to your credit card is registered.

What is the CVV and where is it located?
The CVV (security code) is a 3-digit number located on the back (signiture strip) of your credit card. The purpose of this number is to give you increased protection against online credit card fraud. For American Express, the CVV is a 4-digit number located on the front of the card, above the credit card account number.

Can I redeem my Gift Card online?

At this time Gift Card's are only available for purchase and redemption in-store.

What currencies do you accept?
Designer Kids Wear accepts Canadian currency. For your convenience, we have provided an active foreign currency converter, which will assist in translating the cost of goods to your chosen currency. Please Note: All final transactions from us will be in Canadian dollars. Your credit card provider will set the currency exchange rate.


Questions Regarding Tax Information

Do I have to pay tax and what are the taxes on childrens apparel, footwear and accessories in Canada?
Within the Province of Ontario, all children's apparel, footwear and accessories are subject to 5% GST/HST. The GST/HST will be charged to your invoice. Purchases exported outside of Canada will not be charged the 5% Federal GST/HST, however import duties or taxes may be invoiced to you in accordance with the law in your country. We have no control over how much tax or duty your government may charge, as such we recommend contacting your local customs office to determine a landed cost price prior to completing your purchase.
